- Trade-offs: cleanup tools are lighter than Lexicon's or Crate Cleaner's, and the cloud-first design means your library data lives in your cloud account, which cuts both ways.

3. MLT Pro (Music Library Tools)

- Strengths: £159.99 one-time for everything, a genuinely free fingerprint-based duplicate finder, playlist-to-crate matching (CrateMatch), Serato 4 support since MLT 2.0, Windows support, dedicated backup tool.
- Trade-offs: a toolkit rather than one app, no BPM/key/energy analysis, no set building, no play-history analytics, no health tracking.

4. DJ Conversion Utility Two (DJCU2)
A long-standing Mac utility focused on converting libraries between DJ apps, best known for solid Serato-to-Rekordbox conversion with cues and grids. The original DJCU is now end-of-life; DJCU2 replaces it. It's a conversion tool, not a library manager.

A newer desktop tool for Mac and Windows that reads Rekordbox, Serato and VirtualDJ libraries natively. Its free tier is a playlist converter between those apps; the paid tier adds library repair and audio checks.
- Strengths: free converter between Rekordbox, Serato and VirtualDJ, acoustic duplicate finder, spectrum-based audio quality scoring that flags fake 320s, missing-track detection, Windows support.
- Trade-offs: duplicates and the quality scan are paid features, it does not say which Serato versions it supports, and Engine DJ and Traktor are still marked as coming soon.
- Price: free converter; lifetime licence $49 at its early-bird price; monthly plan available.

6. Cadence
A native macOS library manager that reads rekordbox 6 and 7 and Serato libraries directly, scans them for problems and keeps automatic backups.

Before paying anyone, know what Serato gives you for free: Relocate Lost Files for broken links, Rescan ID3 Tags, manual duplicate hunting via sorting, and crates you maintain by hand.
- Strengths: free, zero new software, and for a small well-kept library it's genuinely enough.
